Mackinac Island Race

On September 6, I ran an 8 mile race on Mackinac Island with my friends Brandie and Jennifer and their husbands. It was a great course around the perimeter of the island, and we had perfect running weather. Kevin decided not to run so that he could cheer me on....so sweet! He was a sight for sore eyes at miles 4 and 7, believe me! Although our time was nothing to write home about (not only do I increase the average age of this group, but I also increase the average time!!), we all ran great and only walked through the water stations. We stayed on the island at Mission Point Resort and, despite bats flying through the lobby, we had a great time!!
